Temperature Source

R2026b

Constant source of thermal energy, characterized by temperature

  • Temperature Source block

Libraries:
Simscape / Foundation Library / Thermal / Thermal Sources

Description

The Temperature Source block represents an ideal source of thermal energy that is powerful enough to maintain specified temperature at its outlet regardless of the heat flow consumed by the system.

The source generates constant absolute temperature, defined by the Temperature parameter value.

Thermal conserving port associated with the source outlet.

Programmatic Use

Port: A

Parameters

expand all

Constant absolute temperature at the source outlet port.

Programmatic Use

Parameter: temperature

Programmatic Use: Add Block

To add the block programmatically, use the add_block function with one of these library block paths as the source.

"fl_lib/Thermal/Thermal Sources/Temperature Source"

Example: add_block("fl_lib/Thermal/Thermal Sources/Temperature Source","myModel/myBlock",MakeNameUnique="on")

For information about programmatic access to individual block parameters, see the Programmatic Use section of parameter descriptions on this page.
