# Induction Machine Field-Oriented Control

## Description

The Induction Machine Field-Oriented Controller block implements an
induction machine field-oriented control (FOC) structure using the per-unit system. To
decouple the torque and flux, FOC uses the rotor
*d*-*q* reference frame. The figure shows the
control structure.

In the diagram:

*ω*is the measured angular velocity._{r}*ω*is the reference angular velocity._{ref}*i*and_{d}*i*are the_{q}*d*- and*q*-axis stator currents.*i*,_{a}*i*, and_{b}*i*are the_{c}*a*-,*b*- and*c*-phase stator winding currents.*i*is the reference magnetizing current._{mr_ref}*i*is the magnetizing current._{mr}*v*and_{d}*v*are the_{q}*d*- and*q*-axis stator voltages.*v*,_{a}*v*, and_{b}*v*are the_{c}*a*-,*b*- and*c*-phase stator winding voltages.*θ*is the rotor electrical angle._{e}*G*,_{AH}*G*,_{AL}*G*,_{BH}*G*,_{BL}*G*, and_{CH}*G*are the_{CL}*a*-,*b*- and*c*-phase high (H) and low(L) gate pulses.

### Assumptions and Limitations

The machine parameters are known.

The implementation uses the per-unit system.

The control structure implementation uses a single sample rate.
