How can I measure vessel thickness?

I want to measure vessel thickness (retina)but it must be automated. I select start and endpoint after it will give me this vessel's thickness.

Algorithms for that will be in section 20.5 of Vision Bib. Pick one and code it up. If you have MATLAB questions on coding, syntax, error messages, etc. then bring your code back here and share it with us.
