read data from FORTRAN program MEX file? plotting a square in MATLAB

Kind of a two part question, the easier part, I have 4 points that make up the corners of a flat square (x1,y1,z1,x2,y2,z2,x3,y3,z3), would the plot3 function be the way to plot this in a 3d graph? I would also like to show graph attribes like grid and x,y,z values. The second part of the question, I have a FORTRAN program that outputs this data, can I launch the FORTRAN executabe-can it call MATLAB and pass variables to it to create the graph? Any sample code is appreciated. Thanks svt4cobra6
