How to delete my account?

Hi, I want to delete my account and i already emailed costumers service and they don't seem to want to delete it. I need to use this specific email to create another account because i created this account for student use but i need it for academic use so i can use my universities activation key. I tried asking if they could change me from student use to academic use but it didn't work. All i need is to delete this account and create a new one that's all i want. Can someone please help.

If email didn't get you the response you want, then call them on the phone and talk to a live person. It's free and fast for all licensing/installation/account/authentication issues, even for students. It's free for everyone.

That's a bit strange. Did you check the country code? And have you tried the email option? In my experience they tend to answer within a few days.

What non-existent number did you call?
The numbers on this page Contact the Mathworks should all work. You can always call the Corporate Headquarters in Natick. I know that works because I call it at least once or twice a week. I don't believe you'll get a live person on the weekends, but the number WILL exist.
I don't think you can delete the account yourself. And having them delete your account probably won't delete all your prior postings here, unless your country's laws require it.

Good morning, i need to change the "MathWorks use" (from "Student" to "Research") of my account nicola.tosi@studenti.unipr.it; can i do them? Or i must delete and create again the account? Thank you Nicola

See my answer above. We can't help you here. We (most of us) are not Mathworks employees, and those that are don't work in the department you need.

@prem, why? What did the Mathworks person say or do to you to make your experience with them very bad? How was it different than with other customer support people at other companies you have talked to?
