Need 32 bit version of Matlab for Windows XP
Show older comments
I need to install a 32 bit version of Matlab.
Should I install an older version of Matlab or can I install the most recent version?
Thanks!

Even the newest ones support 32 bit Windows XP SP3
However, you need to consider exactly what you need to do. The parallel port support has been changing and is minimal in the newest versions (Windows has been making it harder and harder to support such ports.) The list of supported targets for RTW (real time workshop) or Simulink Coder changes with release. The Data Acquisition Toolbox has been switching over from "legacy device" support to "session based support" for NI devices in Compact DAQ, with back support for older devices not arriving until the next release R2011b (probably out in early September).

If you have several versions available (e.g., maybe you are on a service schedule) I would install all of them.
