Error in jacobian formed in matcont

Hi I have formed a system in matcont ,but when i run the continuation i am getting the the difference order must be a positive integer scalar.
the thing is the jacobian elements formed by matcont(by jacobian command) has diff
diff(conj(kmrgd(2)), kmrgd(2))
Whether the problem is due to usage of complex numbers within jacobian?Any suggestions welcome
