When can ROS actions be supported during the custom message generation?

I have been working on ros, and I need to use matlab to communicate and get data in the near future. However, I got a very bad news that the action file has been ignored during the custom message generation since version 2020. It's just that my work can't go on. Do you know when this feature can continue to be used? Or are there other ways to manually generate message types by myself?

I provided some information on why this is the case here. There is no workaround for manually generating custom actions in R2021a.

This is supported in R2021b, which is currently in pre-release state. If you have a license allowing you access to the pre-release, you can check it out now. Otherwise, this functionality will be in 21b when it is fully released.
