How can I view the final reconstruction from the NIRFAST algorithm after installing R2014a_patch_1098655 patch?

After updating to OS X Yosemite, MatLab could no longer open, so I installed the patch R2014a_1098655. MatLab now functions, however NIRFAST-a separate program that is an algorithm for Matlab-no longer displays reconstructions for 3D meshes after all the iterations are done. Instead, the last message in the Matlab command window is, "saving vtk file to: /private/tmp/temp_nirfast.vtk". I searched this by copying and pasting this message into spotlight, but nothing is found. How can I get the reconstructions to appear again? Thank you for your help.
