I want to filter my tall timetable and only keep values the first value where the timestamp is unique but MATLAB says I can not do that with tall tables.
Is there another way to go about this?

You could use a loop, keeping a shadow copy of all timestamps so far, keeping only the first.
The performance will not be great. It may still be good enough if you use a logical vector to mark deletions and remove unwanted rows in one go.

I've not messed w/ the tall table stuff, but I'd think retime could do that for you...the limitations mentioned don't seem to prohibit it.
