difference between random number generators

There're two different function in matlab which generate uniform or normal random varibles, rand and unifrnd, randn and normrnd. Can anyone tell me what the difference between rand and unifrnd?

Both functions generate from a uniform distribution. rand() generates values on [0,1]; unifrnd() takes additional input arguments to specify the endpoints. You can read details with "doc rand" and "doc unifrnd".
