How can i set (f) = (-60/(s^2+5s+48.5))?

How can i set (f) = (-60/(s^2+5s+48.5))? but i keep getting the error. Can someone show me the correct code for this one?

Element wise operation fixes the error :
f=-60./(s.^2+5*s+48.5);
