Simulink Freezes after model compilation

I have a Simulink model which I have worked on in the past but didn't touch for a few months. Last time I worked on it everything was fine, now Simulink freezes as soon as it reaches the "Compiling: Starting model compilation: Completed" status. The exact same model works just fine on a different PC and the old version that we have for Matlab2014a still works too. I have not changed anything about the model since I last had it running fine. I don't get any error messages no matter how long I wait but if I ctrl + C, I always get the message:

"Operation terminated by user during Simulink.scopes.LAScope/updateBoundSignals>getLeafElementInfoForBus"

I have tried it several times and this is always where Simulink seems to get stuck. What could possibly be causing this?
