Put an axes upon listbox of uicontrol?

I tried to put a axes upon a listbox using uistack(), but it doesn't work. Does anyone know why and perhaps a work around?

What effect are you aiming for? I can't think of any reason to have an axes sat on top of a listbox personally so it is hard to understand what you are trying to achieve.

It's just simply a question why this is not possible by layout.
