Why do I get "Update diagram not possible. Ensure model is able to simulate error free." when using PLC coder for STEP 7, while model simulation works error free?

Trying to generate a Simulink model into Siemens SIMATIC STEP 7 code, i receive the error "Update diagram not possible. Ensure model <model name> is able to simulate error free." Besides some warnings, there are no other errors specified!

However while separately simulating the model without generating i only get the warnings (like precision loss, under-specified data types and missing unit definition) and no errors at all!

Unfortunately i cannot add code since it's a confidential matter.

Hope someone has some kind of impulse anyway.

Apparently input and output ports of the subsystem to be generated needed to be connected for the generation to work, which was solely indicated among the warnings.

For this I'd find it helpful setting up a diagnostics configuration with respect to PLC code generation. Thus I opened a new question regarding this.
