n=n+1; d=double(subs(df(m)));
scatter(m,result)
AE1(n)=double(subs(df(m)))-result;
MAE1(n)=mean(abs(double(df(m))-result));
I can't get my df(m) value to convert to a double

We don't see what is in that variable. But...
If you cannot convert it to a double, then it is not a number. It has some symbolic unknown inside it. LOOK. Is there some variable in that expression? If there is, then nothing can convert it to a double, because it is not yet a number.
