Problem with the activation of student license

I received the part of my teacher a student suite as this from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/MATLAB-Simulink-Student-Suite-R2018b/dp/0989614026#customerReviews.

Inside there are a serial number and control number, however when I try to put any of them, I receive the following error:

The license number or activation key does not match the existing license numbers or activation keys. Please try again.

To associate with a work or school license, be sure to create a MathWorks account with your work or school email.

If you continue to have problems associating with a license, contact your MATLAB license administrator or MathWorks Customer Service .

I explain that this license had its original packaging. I see imposible that other person used it before me.

What is the problem?

Does my teacher need to do anything to allow me to activate the student license I have?. If the answer is yes, I will be very grateful if anybody tells me what my teacher and me do step by step.
