matlab Ctrl-R not working to running the program

3 views (last 30 days)
I wanted to update the preferences, especially the shortcut. So I wanted to change shortcut of comment to Alt-3 instead of Ctrl-R, and shortcut of running to Ctrl-R. But when I press Ctrl-R, it wouldn't run. Then, I tried to use F5 instead, and it was able to run. I first thought it was the Ctrl-R issue, so I change the comment back to Ctrl-R, but this time it worked, it was about to comment out the sentenses. So why is Ctrl-R not working for running the program.

I was able to set the keyboad shortcut for run or continue execution to CTRL+R. It worked, but only in a script. It does not appear possible to set custom keyboard shortcuts for a live script. I did have to unassign this as a shortcut for Comment.

I'm not sure, then. I'm also using Window 11 home. You are following all the correct steps, so I would suggest submitting a support request here: https://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us.html
