"MATLAB 2025a features a more professional user interface and improved computational speed, but it also introduces new error messages. I encountered a linearization failure error in Simulink while working with a jet engine model composed of T-MATS (a NASA-developed turbofan engine modeling toolbox) components. The current error message is as follows: 'Error: STD exception 'class std::bad_function_call': 'bad function call' caught.' It appears to be an issue with the underlying MEX function. How can I resolve this?"

Hi Zhizheng,
Can you provide more details regarding the issue:
  1. When is does the error occur: while updating the model or when running the model?
  2. Is the same error observed when working on any other example or blocks from T-MATS repo? Which model or block is causing this error?
  3. You mentioned observing this error in MATLAB R2025a. Did the same model work in any previous MATLAB versions? If yes, please specify which version.
