How to measure the heat transfer by a universal motor?

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi all,
I am using a universal motor and want to measure the heat produced by it. There are two Thermal port: Hf(field winding thermal port) and Ha(armature winding thermal port). Goal is to find total heat produced by Universal motor.. I have tried the 'ideal heat flow sensor' but not sure about its port A and B.
Can anyone help, how I can measure Ha.

Hi Sandy,
You might find this ( http://www.mathworks.com/help/physmod/elec/ug/simulating-thermal-effects-in-rotational-and-translational-actuators.html ) documentation page useful. If this is not what you are trying to do, can you provide a little more detail on what you wish to achieve, or the model you are using?

Hi Sumit,
Thanks for sharing this link. I have tried that document before. Actually, What I am not not getting is how to connect the port A and B of "ideal heat flow sensor' to measure the heat transfer..
Please check the attached file for model.
