Camera triangulation to calculate distance to object

If I setup 2 cameras at different views from an object and take photos of it, what would I need to calculate the distance to that object?
So I need to use triangulation to calculate the distance to the object but I have no experience in this.
Can anyone point me to some examples or equations or other documents related to this?

Distance from what point? The center of camera #1? The upper left corner of camera #2?

Yes the distance from camera #1
