How can I get my Simulink model to run in Acceleration mode on Mac OSX?

I am running Matlab/Simulink R2015a and would like to run in either Acceleration or Rapid Acceleration mode with one of my Simulink models. The online help provided two suggestions. First, I selected "Optimizations On" in the Simulations>Model Configuration Parameters>Optimization menu. After benchmarking before and after this setting, I did not notice a significant performance improvement. Next, I attempted to select "Acceleration" or "Rapid Acceleration" in the Simulink>Mode menu. Unfortunately, there is no such "Mode" menu option on my version of Simulink. Is there something else I need to install or configure before the Mode menu shows up?
