I get a problem while installing MATLAB 2015b on windows 8 (64-bit). The installer works fine until I select my "Standalone Named User" license, then I get: "The application could not connect to MathWorks". I've seen the Support Article indicated in the error messagge, but I use no proxy and the installer is abilitated to connect to the internet by Windows Firewall. How do I solve the problem to make the installer connect to the site?

Hi Matteo,
You could temporarily disable your anti-virus by attempting the installation while in Windows Safe Mode with networking. Windows Safe Mode with Networking may help to circumvent the security software on your computer, as it may not start automatically when the system boots in Safe Mode. Information on accessing Windows safe Mode can be found here:
If you are unable to connect you could try an offline installation and activation of MATLAB.
Details of the same can be found below:
Please note: In order to perform an offline installation, you will need to download the MATLAB installation files before running the installer. If you are unable to connect through the installer, you could download the MATLAB ISO from your MathWorks account. You should either mount or unpack the ISO, and then run setup.exe. For information about how to download the MATLAB ISO, please see the following article:
Hope this helps!
