How to control DC motor with encoder using arduino ?

I have a project to derive a DC motor from the arduino This DC motor has an encoder and the encoder should print the angle or the position of the DC motor The motor has 6 wires (VCC, GND, MOTOR+, MOTOR-, CHANNEL A, CHANNEL B)
If any one can give me a clue on this project it would be great
