Problems installing MatLab R2010b to Windows 7 (NTDLL.DLL Access Violation)

We are suddenly unable to deploy MatLab R2010B to any Windows 7 workation. We were able to install to Windows 7 in the past so I'm guessing some update or patch to the OS or some other application is causing the failure, but I can't seem to nail it down and logs are not revealing anything useful. The install fails immediately with the this error in Application Log:
Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100)
Faulting application name: setup.exe_setup, version: 22.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4c3c1b1e
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7ba58
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00033280
Faulting process id: 0x810
Faulting application start time: 0x01ccd46c9e56da6a
Faulting application path: <Install Path>\setup.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Occurs whether using our silent installer package or running manually; from nework share or copied locally. I've tried XP compatibility mode, disabling DEP, run as admin, etc. Fails immediately after running Setup.exe.
Installs without issue to XP, btw.
