Apple Ipod with Mobile can't access Orientation Sensor.

I am using Matlab Mobile with an Ipod and I am unable to access the Orientation Sensor.

When I try to access it, I get the error "This sensor is not available on your device." I have other 3rd party apps that can access this sensor.

Is there anyway to access the Orientation Sensor with Matlab Mobile? I refuse to believe Matlab Mobile is an inferior product.
