EXTRACT DATA FROM EXCEL

i have an excel file in the form
Name Result
a 2
b 5
a 7
c 5
a 6
b 8
How do I load the data for the rows named 'a' into matlab?? ie create an array in MATLAB as follows
a 2
a 7
a 6

consider import all data first, and then extract all rows with 'a'.

Type "help xlsread" at your Matlab command window and hit enter. Matlab has a very rich built-in help system. Sometimes it's worthy to take a look at ;)
