Getting a propeller to produce lift
Show older comments
I have a configuration with an arm connected to two propellers. I turn both propellers in opposite directions at the same speed and the system is stable but i don't get any lift force. The assembly is fixed in space with propellers spinning. I have gravity in the negative z direction and the assembly was given material properties in solidworks before exporting to simmechanics. Would anybody know why gravity or lift forces do not appear to act on my assembly? Thanks, Shyam

You have to implement the rotational speed -> thrust relationship yourself.

The following example talks about the implementation of a quadcopter.
You could use this example as a starting point.
