Generate piano chords in matlab

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to generate the sounds of piano chords in matlab. I'm implementing a system to predict chords for a given piano melody. The chord prediction part is already done by me using HMM and viterbi algorithms. Now I want to generate these identified chord sequence with the proper time-signature of the melody and mix both song and the chord sequence. So what is the best path to do this. Please guide me.
