how many rows of an image form 1 feet

input image is a person standing in full view. i am calculating height of the person. i got number of rows as 1936. how to find the height of this person in terms of feet

You have got the pixel in your pic. Now you need a calibration scale, something like 1 feet are 1200 Pixels (for instance).

Matlab doesn't lose any of the pixels in your picture. If you put in an exact calibration scale, you'll only have the accuracy error from your resolution. If you cannot provide an exact calibration scale, that will also put down your accuracy.
