Hello everyone,
I want to transform the depth image that I got from my Kinect V2 (one frame of the scanned object), and turn it into a readable GIS format as .tiff or other common file type.
That would be somehow possible? Cheers

The object that I'm trying to analyse (the yellow rectangle) is not showing the objects that are on the top of it (it's a rough surface). How can I get around this problem?
Basically that's my code:
depthDevice = imaq.VideoDevice('kinect',2)
step(depthDevice);
depthImage = step(depthDevice);
xyzPoints = depthToPointCloud(depthImage,depthDevice);
pcshow(xyzPoints,'VerticalAxis','y','VerticalAxisDir','down');
xlabel('X (m)');
ylabel('Y (m)');
zlabel('Z (m)');
release(depthDevice);
and then I'm exporting the model with
dlmwrite(image.tif, depthImage)
