Matlab 2016 Does Not Start Without Internet Connection (License Manager Error -96)
Show older comments
Hi, My Matlab version (academic license) works fine as long as I have an internet connection. Unfortunately when I can't access internet I get the following message:
License checkout failed. License Manager Error -96 MATLAB is unable to connect to the license server. Make sure that the MATLAB client machine can communicate with the hostname listed in the SERVER line of the license file, and that the port listed in the SERVER line is not blocked by a firewall.
Troubleshoot this issue by visiting: http://www.mathworks.com/support/lme/R2016a/96
Diagnostic Information: Feature: MATLAB License path: /home/marco/.matlab/R2016a_licenses:/home/marco/matlab/licenses/license.dat:/home/marco/matlab/licen ses/network.lic Licensing error: -96,7. System Error: 2
I already check the link suggested in the error message and other posts in this forum, but couldn't find a solution since I need to use Matlab in a place where there's no internet connection at all, so there's no way I can ping Matlab server there ... has anyone an idea about what I can do to solve this?
Thanks,
Marco.
