This is a legitimate Question, considering that MATLAB supports both TeX and LaTeX markup.
These are text interpreters that allow you to display mathematical expressions (both) and other text (LaTeX) with specific formatting and other options that most other text editors do not support. See the documentation for LaTeX — A Document Preparation System for full details. See also the documentation for the MATLAB text function, that has a description of TeX and its use.
