can buit in PCA be applied on a notepad containing numeric values?

i have saved feature vectors of an image of size 512 by 512 in a notepad by using fileID . feature vector dimension are 50 rows and 262144 columns. Can i apply PCA directly to that notepad file. as i am unable to find a way to save that note pad values in a mat file. import function button takes a loooonng time..
