How to execute Matlab2015b commands in Matlab2013?

1 view (last 30 days)
Good afternoon all. I have developed project using classification learner app of Matlab2015b. Now I have some problem in my laptop. I need to give final practicals on day after tomorrow. It is difficult to get it repaired in this short time period. My friends have Matlab2013. But I am unable to run project. It show different errors. Is there any way to solve this problem. Instant help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No, you will not be able to run that software under R2013.
If you can "lease" a computer for a few days (including from your friend), under the license terms you would be able to install your MATLAB release and toolboxes under your license. That might require that you go through the licence center to deactivate your current laptop before you can activate on the other system. Do what you need, and afterwards when your repair is done, reactivate on your own laptop deactivating on the one you "leased". Your friend must not have access to the computer during this time to fit within the license terms.
Note: each of these activations will count against your license transfer limits, so this will use up 2 transfers even though you are going back to your original system.
... Sometimes it is easier to just buy a second license.

I suggest the most likely working and time saving way is to install R2015b on your friends' machine (if I understand it correctly you can borrow) as a trial from MathWorks.

Though in theory the terms for trial do not permit students to borrow computers or licenses, which is why the "lease" I mentioned starts becoming important, at least on paper.
