Using qammod: How can you set the carrier frequency? (16QAM)

qammod documentation says it produces a baseband quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) signal. As far as I understand, baseband means unmodulated. So what is the frequency at which is modulates your bitstream and how can I set it otherwise to 8Ghz? Please help

I got that you want to explicitly define the carrier frequency to perform QAM modulation.
To do so, you can use “modulate” function available in MATLAB.
fc=8e9; %define the carrier frequency
[y,t]=modulate(x, fc, fs,’qam’); %modulates the input signal “x” using QAM and fc=8GHz
You can refer to the following link to know more about “modulate” function:https://in.mathworks.com/help/signal/ref/modulate.html
