parallel port to control LED

i have 8 conditions in an if loop...i need to control a set of 8 LED s...

i mean for condition 1 i need to give output as 0000 1111 for next condition i need to send the output as 1100 0011

and so on the combination of digtal out put goes on.. I need a proper solution to solve it and code it since i am new to data acquisition ....
