What code are you using to read the PSAT file? The error message suggests that you treating the file as a MAT-file while using load. Is this the case?

The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) brings back unpleasant memories from the mid-1960s that I never want to revisit!

The image suggests that the file extension is .pwb . I seem to find that associated with a completely different third party power systems toolbox that can be interfaced with MATLAB by using ActiveX
