What properties and methods does the spherical object have to have? Is it strictly 3 dimensional, or is it potentially hypersphere? Do you need to store information about lighting? About surface material? About specular components? About physical properties like density profile, coefficient of expansion? Is it hollow? If it is then is the hole possibly not at the center of the sphere?
