I have matlab file how can I convert it into arff file

What exactly is a "matlan file"? M, FIG, MAT, P, MEXW64, SLX? And waht is an "arff" file? Remember that the file extensions are only strings and you have to define the format exactly.

Thanks Jan Simon .. I work on MATLAB R2016a after the execution of my code by matlab I want to read the resulted file from matlab by Weka where the Weka read the file type anyname.arff... I hope it is clear
