How to convert xef file recording from Kinect v2 to other playable format using Matlab?

Hi everyone, my knowledge in programming is not very good. But at the moment, im using Kinect for my postgraduate project to record human motion. i dont know how to convert the recorded files (in .xef format) to other playable format such as mp4 or avi. anyone can help? i really appreciate it

Thank you +Walter Roberson for the quick response. i have tried to use the XEF2MAT and it create hundreds of .mat files. Then, what should i do with the files? Should i compress it and then converted it to avi or video? Sorry for asking too much. i really need to learn more on this.

I do not know at this point. I do not have any sample files and I do not typically run windows. I would have guessed that each mat file would have data over time, but it is not impossible that it writes one mat per frame (which seems a waste but not impossible.)
