Animated gif as icon in appdesigner

Is there a way I could use an animated gif as the icon of a button in an AppDesigner Button or Lamp component?

I afraid you can't do that now. I'm not sure how about future release/version

Unless you read them into frame, then read the frame in your for loop, and display it in your button. However, it might affected what you want to program, since you have kept running the for loop, else the animated will be stopped.
