Why is it not possible to configure "long" data type as 64bits in Polyspace Code Prover?

I have a project which has "*_long_*" data type to be taken as 64 bits. But in polyspace this is not becoming possible. Polyspace allows 64 bits only for long long and * double* data types.
Why is this? Is there any other to keep long type as 64bits?
