How to install Matlab on Chromebook Linux

I have version 71 of the software. I activated linux and I enabled the experimental crostini chrome flag I downloaded the linux zip file from matlab (I have license) and put the unzipped files in the linux folder in the app files The install file is there and according to directions from youtube you type in the terminal sudo ./install
Although it says it is installing it is not. It does not get to the Matlab interactive screens, as it should.
I did this before (before I had to do a factory reset) and something is lacking in the procedure I describe above.
Help would be greatly appreciated and will help to enhance science and take away my frustration.

I know this is definitely late but I was just running into the same issue. Before you do the 'sudo ./install' part in the video, you need to enter in 'xhost +' and then it will open up like in the video.

Follow these instructions, but right before the 3:00 min mark in the video, do what I said in my previous comment.
