Is it possible to create Excel add-ins from Mac?

I have an .mlapp created in appdesigner, that I would like to export to excel as an add-in. From videos I've watched on how to do it, the Matlab app "Library Compiler" is used, but this is not on my list of apps and I can't seem to find it. Is it windows only? And if it is, are there any other ways to do this?

Currently, MATLAB compiler only supports Windows system to create and use Excel add-in.

@Ran Chen: Is there any other way to do it? I want to put it together to create a standalone application.

The interface used is not available in Excel for Mac.
