MATLAB 2018b and 2017b doesn't open after launch, even when running as administrator

I have tried running MATLAB 2018b and 2017b as system administrator, but they only open up the license screen and then closes itself after like 2 or 3 seconds. I even shut down and restarted my PC and closed everything else in the background, even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 2018b product but nothing seems to work. I even have space for it to run properly. Is there a solution for this problem? I need to know so I can use the program for college classes.
Also yes the license has been activated already.
And for the release, it's for both 2018b and 2017b, it won't let me select more than one

Use the ‘Contact Us’ link in the upper right corner of this page to request Tech Support from MathWorks.

You could try opening MATLAB from the CLI/terminal with -nodesktop argument to check if it works, for urgent use. You should perhaps contact support if not done already, they can assist you better.
