Model In Loop (MIL) Simulation

I was asked to use Discrete & Fixed-step solver while doing MIL simulation. May I know why ?

Discrete ,cause the ECU's are using discret components and for fixed step its better to use it since there will be les ECU and memory consumption also les dev time ..
