How to integrate multi window apps in a web app?

Hi there,

I discovered the web app feature. Its awesome.

I have now the problem, that some of my apps call figures or small other apps.

It seems like this does not work when deployed as a webapp.

Are there some cool work arounds or tricks how to solve this problem?

Hi, I am looking for exact same possibility. Did not find any documentation regarding this possiblity unfortunately. A new window would mean a new web page for a Web App I guess. Hopefully someone from mathworks can inform us on that.

Hi Marc,

I talked to a matlab employee and he told me that in fact multi window apps are not compatible with Web Apps.

A work around would be to add a a tab group which covers the whole app and integrate the different windows as different tabs. If a new window would be opened, you just open the right tab instead. You can also write functions which forbid to open tabs under certain conditions and so on.

This works quite well but is a little bit of work.
