why my plot not being displayed?

even when i run simple code like plot(x,y),my matlab is not displaying the figure.it is giving empty fig window.

Do your x and y have more than one finite point? If x and y are scalar, by default MATLAB does not provide any markers for the points.

Try
plot(x, y, 'o')
to check, if x and/or y are scalars, which plot infinitesimal small dots only.

If your code involves array division, remember to use element-wise division: ./ rather than /.
