Energy parameters for simulating target tracking in WSN

Hi, I am trying to implement a target tracking scenario using matlab in terms of CC2420 radio model. I am not sure how to choose the parameters for initial energy of (homogeneous) nodes, transmission and reception energy, duty cycle energy values for nodes. Please assist.
Kindly help me with the scenario.
